Planning and Writing Your Problem-Solution Essay
Planning and Writing Your Problem-Solution EssayHow much time should you devote to planning and writing your problem-solution essay? To me, it seems like every single minute counts, but I tend to be too organized for my own good. Now, before I get into the details about how much time you should spend on your problem-solution essay, let's talk about how much time you should spend on preparing to write your essay, and how much time you should spend on actually writing it. It all depends. Here are some tips:In the preparation phase, you should figure out what sorts of materials you will need to use for the essay. This will help to speed up the writing process, and also can avoid having to research several different types of essays. You will also want to make sure that you have a research folder and three copies of the paper so that you can make changes as needed. Be careful to carefully follow all instructions when using a text editor, since you don't want to end up with something that i s not coherent. In the writing process, you should set up a schedule for yourself for writing each chapter of the essay. If you have any doubts, you may want to have a friend or a family member read it aloud to you, and check your grammar and syntax. If necessary, you can revise each chapter until it is as clear and polished as possible. Finally, when it comes to actually writing the essay, you should set aside about an hour at least per day. With a more traditional essay, you might write the whole thing out; however, I feel that the best way to go about this is to split the essays into two parts. Once you have written the first part, you can then go back and fill in the details for the second part, making sure that you proofread and edit each part of the essay as needed. Once this is done, you will have an essay that has been thoroughly edited and proofread for grammar and spelling errors. So, that covers all of the steps involved in getting ready to write your essay. Now, how much ti me should you spend on this? Well, for me, this could be anywhere from ten minutes to two hours, depending on the topic of the essay. For a popular essay, this amount of time may not seem like much. However, if the topic is a less known one, this time may be more than enough to cover the extra bits and pieces of information. Once the writing is complete, you will want to make sure that the copy is properly proofread. A lot of people put too much emphasis on the editing of their work, but sometimes the final step is as important as the initial stage, and that is having the copy properly edited.Once you have this written, it is time to find a class that teaches a topic similar to the one you are writing about, or to start writing an essay of your own. While an essay may not be something that you want to do on a regular basis, it will be nice to have an opportunity to do so once in a while. When you have that experience under your belt, you will enjoy the process of planning and writing your problem-solution essay every time.
